Dear Fellows,
Greetings from the AIM-Mirant Center!
In the spirit of “celebrating what is right and beautiful”, we would like to thank you for the success of our First Bridging Leadership Workshop. The trainers and staff, Prof. Gavino, Bettye Pruitt, Philip Thomas, Mike Juan, Boyet Dy, myself, and even the guest speakers from the First Cohort were impressed and inspired by your enthusiastic participation. May this continue for the rest of your Fellowship.
Just some reminders for you all before we meet again:
1. For those who haven’t passed their Structured Learning Exercises (SLEs) yet, please email it to me, at jendaya@aim.edu (or jay.endaya@gmail.com). Prof. Garilao is very interested to see them.
2. Your deliverables, until the next Leadership Workshop (Last week of January or First week February 2008), are the following:
a. To establish a Core Group
b. Launch working dialogic processes with your stakeholders
c. Reach a collaborative agreement in the form of a shared VMOKRAPI
It would be great if you can accomplish the Fellows Logbook (the template is attached) as you go along your work. This would help us document your journey as a Bridging Leader and build it as a case for future BLs to read and study. Hopefully, you can pass a logbook to us every month or everytime you accomplish an activity. We’d like you to know that Mayor Sonia’s case has become as clear as it is because she was constantly updating us and her fellows about her activities and reflections through her logbook. We hope you will too.
3. Individual Consultation and Processing Conversation. The center will be planning to go to your respective areas in the coming months to see how you are doing (“kumustahan”) and also to assist you (if needed) in finalizing your VMOKRAPI and Stakeholder-engagement plan; I will send a separate email for this when the details have been finalized.
4. Please do constantly check your email for Fellowship updates. I’ll also create a Yahoo Egroup for this Cohort, so you can update this community of leaders with your lessons (both from your successes and failures) as a Bridging Leader. Again, in the spirit of community-building, let’s keep an environment of trust where we can share openly and honestly.
If you have any concerns or questions, don’t hesitate to contact us in the AIM Mirant Center.
