Greetings of Peace! The AIM Mirant Center has been glad to hear stories from you regarding your leadership endeavors. We hope that you would continue to share your experiences, not just with us, but with your co-Fellows as well.
Here are some updates for everyone on what has been going on since the 1st Leadership Workshop, and also some reminders on what still has to come.
Updates
1. Individual Consultations with Prof. Garilao and Mike Juan
In the past month, the Center has been meeting with the Fellows in an effort to catch-up with their stories (“Kumustahan”) and firm up their VMOKRAPIs and Engagement plans. So far, we have been able to meet with all of you save for Ms. Easter Canoy (scheduled this Nov. 26, 2:30pm) and Dr. Saff Dipatuan (still to be scheduled).
2. 1st Training Workshop Documentation
The documentation of the 1st Training Workshop is available at the Files section of our BLFellows2 Yahoo Group. Please check it out. If you want us to send directly to you, let us know. (The file is quite big, 3mb+).
3. Upcoming Peer Learning Session with the Luzon Cluster of Fellows
The Fellows in Luzon will be meeting here at AIM for a Peer Learning Session on stakeholder engagement on November 27, 2007. If you will be here in Manila, you are encouraged to join. Please inform us in advance if you are indeed joining.
Reminders
1. VMOKRAPIs and Engagement Plans
Kindly send in your VMOKRAPIs, especially if you have made some revisions on it. Know we study and compile these documents here at the center so we can be more effective in helping you in your work as BL.
Send in your Engagement Plan as well. Your plan should include at least the following basic information:
- WHO will you be engaging? (Stakeholder analysis)
- HOW will you do your engagement? WHAT are the processess/activities will you do?
- WHEN will these engagement activities be?
2. Log Book/Journaling
For the center to be able to capture leadership lessons and insights from your BL journey, it is critical that you regularly accomplish and share with us your Log Book (you can find the template at the Files section of our BLFellows2 YahooGroup. It is also attached to this email). Kindly accomplish this regularly so we can create strong foundations for building your cases.
3. IMPORTANT: Schedule of 2nd Leadership Workshop: Please Reserve the Date
The 2nd Leadership workshop has been moved back to its original date–March 3-7, 2008 . We are looking at holding it here in the AIM, Makati City. Please reserve these dates.
