Dear Fellows,
Greetings!
More than two months have already passed since your First Leadership Workshop, and there are approximately three more months to go before the Second Leadership Workshop on March 3-7, 2008. Be reminded that your deliverables by the Second Leadership Workshop are the following:
- Finalize VMOKRAPI and Engagement Plan;
- Establish Core Group;
- Launch on-going dialogic processes; and
- Reach a collaborative agreement with stakeholders in the form of a shared VMOKRAPI.
I have already met and discussed with most of you how to firm-up your VMOKRAPIs. So far, only Dr. Lorna Dino (DepEd Sorsogon Division), Mr. Malcolm Garma (DepEd Cabanatuan City), and Mayor Florante Gerdan (Santa Fe, Nueva Vizcaya) have submitted fully accomplished VMOKRAPIs (i.e., with complete Performance Indicators, etc.). For the others, I advise you to finish this soon because this will greatly aid you as you move to the Co-Ownership phase of the Bridging Leadership process. Bear in mind that if you are personally clear with the vision, mission, objectives, key result areas and performance indicators that you want to achieve for your community, you will be more able to effectively engage your stakeholders and bring about a collective response to address the issues at hand.
I hope to hear more updates from your leadership endeavors. To facilitate this, our Program Officer, Jay Endaya, has created a Yahoo! Group (BLFellows2@yahoogroups.com ) and has sent a Logbook template for you to be able to record your insights from your various leadership activities. Please send this regularly to us so we can document lessons from your Bridging Leadership journey.
